Dear Friend,
John Lindholm here, author of The Sloppy Classroom.
And, I want to tell you something.
YOU ARE A KINDRED SPIRIT!
I LIKE YOU!
You want to do best by your students, and you want to enjoy your days as a teacher. I think you might also want to share your experiences in writing as well (more on that later).
I wrote The Sloppy Classroom to help people become the teacher they want to be.
The ideas in this book are what keep me young, inspired, and striving to be the best teacher I can be for my students.
But my purpose here is to serve you in the most effective way possible, so you can become that teacher.
As such, I am (with your permission) going to give you a special gift.
I'm going to give you FREE access to a six-part video course called...
A $500 Value (Yours-For-Free)

In just a moment, you will have access to this course, for free, forever.
Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass contains content I did not cover in The Sloppy Classroom.
In the masterclass, I will do the following:
Expand on each pillar of The Sloppy Classroom.
Introduce new stories and strategies for transforming your teaching practice.
Motivate you to make whatever changes you see fit in your classroom.
All in all, Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass is the perfect addition to The Sloppy Classroom which will allow you to enjoy your days in the classroom again.
So you might be wondering why I am giving away this video course for free. There are people who charge thousands of dollars for this type of content.
The reason why is...
I'm giving you the Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass as a shameless bribe for saying "maybe" to my physical monthly newsletter, The John Lindholm Letter.
Here's the deal: If you agree to a 1-month free trial of The John Lindholm Letter (which is more of my writing, my thoughts on education and crafting your own classroom plan, and even writing your own content), then——
I will give you the Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass completely free.
And there are no strings attached.
Here's what I mean: If you decide to cancel your 1-month free trial of The John Lindholm Letter——at any time——you still get to keep access to the Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass video course.
In fact, I am so convinced The John Lindholm Letter will transform your teaching practice (and life) that I've decided to "go all out" in enticing you to try it. For this reason, I've assembled three more free gifts you also get to keep (even if you decide to cancel your 1-month trial subscription to my physical monthly newsletter).
Here they are...
FREE GIFT #2!
(A $5 Value!)

I'll be honest, in my haste and excitement to get The Sloppy Classroom into eager teachers' hands, I overlooked a pillar.
This pillar is called "Have at least one moment of connection with each student."
I'm a little embarrassed that I left such an important notion out of the book, but I am happy to provide it to you absolutely free.
This is the only place you can get this important, additional chapter.
I will provide it to you in PDF format for easy printing and reading.
FREE GIFT #3!
(A $15 Value!)

Teachers do a ton of thinking and decision making each day. If you never taught before, you'd be shocked at the physical and mental toll teaching can take on you.
There are many ways to blow off steam and recharge your batteries as a teacher. In over 30 years of teaching, I must have tried them all.
But I think the most productive and positive is writing.
From simply journaling about the day or week, to reflecting on lessons or your own practice, writing is one method of increasing effectiveness and enjoyment in the classroom.
Check out this essay (again, in PDF format) ABSOLUTELY FREE to find out more.
FREE GIFT #4!
(A $20 Value!)

This talk about writing piqued your interest?
Then it's time to find your voice. What kind of writer are you? How do you present your ideas to the world, or just to yourself in a journal?
Uncover that writer who is hidden inside of all of us with three weeks worth of exercises that will expose you for the writer that you are (again, absolutely FREE).
OK, that's all you get.
To sum things up, I'm giving you the four products I detailed above FOR FREE.
Here's a screenshot of everything:

You get...
Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass (6-part video course) - $500 Value
The Sloppy Classroom Bonus Chapter - $5 Value
The Power of Writing for Educators essay - $15 Value
Find Your Voice in 21 Days - $20 Value
I am giving you instant access to all four of these products—for free—just for saying "maybe" to my life-changing physical monthly newsletter, The John Lindholm Letter.
Why am I offering such an insane deal? (I mean, after all, the Advanced Sloppy Classroom Masterclass itself could command a thousand dollars).
So why am I giving you all of this?!
It's not because I'm overly charitable or crazy (OK, maybe I am a little bit). The reason I'm offering you these four products for free is because I know The John Lindholm Letter will change the course of your teaching career, and maybe your life.
About ten years ago, I was in a tough place in my teaching career. 20 years in, monotony getting to me. Prepping kids for both the state 8th grade math standardized test and some of them also for the state algebra standardized test was wearing me thin.
I needed something different, so I got certified in middle level ELA as well. Then I moved from 8th grade down to 6th grade to teach both math and ELA.
I didn't like it.
So I bounced back to 8th grade to teach ELA. I enjoyed this for a time, but I started to get imposter syndrome. I was trained to be a math teacher, not an ELA teacher.
And I missed teaching math.
So...I went back to teaching 8th grade math. But this time I decided to embrace a different approach.
I wasn't going to focus on and worry about standardized tests or discipline. Yes, they would still be concerns, but I wasn't going to lead with those former speed bumps.
I was going to put my students' well-beings first. And love them where they are at. Teach as little as possible and never ridicule.
In other words, all of the things that became the pillars of The Sloppy Classroom.
Then something happened. I started enjoying teaching again. I felt good about myself. Not only was I teaching content that I loved and was comfortable with, I was interacting with my students in a way that felt right to me...
...In a way that was best for them. I was focused on their well-being ; yes, academically, but equally socially and emotionally.
I can't lie, this new hierarchy makes things a little frantic. Noisy. Chaotic.
In a word: SLOPPY.
But along with the chaos comes creativity from the students, and a connection that makes every day and every period worthwhile.
The bottom line is this: My goal with the The John Lindholm Letter is to not only let you enjoy your time in the classroom, it's also to help you see the world in a different way and potentially write about it yourself.
Every issue of the John Lindholm Letter is designed to bring you closer to the teaching career and life your are hoping to live.
Teachers give a lot!
A lot, a lot. Why not instill some joy in your life be resurrecting or constructing your career in a way that your heart knows it wants to be.
By saying "maybe" to the John Lindholm Letter, and saying yes to a one-month trial, you will get the amazing four free gifts outlined above.
If you cancel your free trial -- which I am sure you won't -- you still keep all four products for free!
